A Great Way for Teenagers to Unplug With NERF’s Rival Zeus, NERF Nitro and Nerf Rival
This post is sponsored by Hasbro, but all opinions are my own. NERF is a trademark of Hasbro used with permission.
There is nothing that brings families together more than head to head competition. Chances are you grew up playing with NERF products, and it was fun. Until you have experienced the power of Nerf Rival in combat, you have not completed your NERF experience. The NERF RIVAL SATURN Rival blasters and rounds are intended for players ages 14 and up, and you can play teams or shoot for practice, selecting from three blasters. Each blaster includes reactive moving targets for precision practice, and the rounds designed to provide ultimate precision and impact all. At the same time, the player experiences intense head to toe competition and accuracy.
Having the right equipment like high impact rounds, tactical gear, and reactive moving targets takes the Nerf Battle to a level of professionalism that makes an older child feel like they are engaging in a more intense competition. We made an entire event out of our new Nerf Rival blasters that even the little kids helped plan and organize. They were allowed to sit on the sidelines and mimic with their original Nerf darts and dream about the day they get to graduate to Nerf Rival! The kids like to add the extra element of the base, team camps and maps to the battle, and the younger ones love to help with mapmaking!
I love that the intensity of the sport of NERF continues to grow with my kids. With Aiden turning 15 soon, it's easy to imagine how many NERF blasters we have in the home. I would love to have a whole room dedicated to Nerf, and it would maybe help keep me from tripping over them or finding large piles of NERF products lying around randomly in the house.
The kid's youth group has an annual NERF event that allows the kids to battle outdoors on campus, and it's a huge event. It's safe to say that the kids are huge fans of Nerf and are surprisingly knowledgeable about the products. When we received the Nerf Rival, he knew exactly what it was and quickly recognized the NERF NITRO and the NERF Rival Zeus blaster featured on the back of the packaging.
Everybody loves a good NERF competition, but NERF Rival takes the game to a whole other level for older children. I was thrilled at how long the kids immersed themselves in the forest in imaginative play with their blasters and target discs. Interactive outdoor games like the one's Nerf blasters encourage are essential for all ages, but I would specifically say it's even more critical for the teenage crowd. In the age of too much technology and social media, several hours in the forest for the older kids to unplug and have fun is important. The kids are always happy when we add to our NERF collection and it's a significant collection that is still getting bigger. Blasting NERF with the family is fun no matter what age you are, and I think the kids would agree that it's NERF or Nothing!
