Teaching Textbooks
Let’s face it, a very few select individuals grew up enjoying High School Algebra. Math, in general, was always mundane to me. Teaching Textbooks makes math incredibly appealing, being math, and all. Aesthetics are everything nowadays and even more school at the high school level of adolescence. Teaching Textbooks makes Algebra 2 and all of their other courses look good by adding a pop of color, a narrator with an engaging cadence, and interactive illustrations. Interactive and Appealing Homeschool Math
Teaching Textbooks is all about parent and student-friendly features. One of the features that stood out to me the most was the running grade average that I can check at any time. The notepad-like layout makes the frames seem similar to being in class taking notes and the lectures are broken down into easy to understand examples and engaging question prompts. When answering questions students have a place on the screen to work the problem out. Graphs and illustrations as part of the lecture help to bring the equations to life.
Self-Led Math for the Homeschool Student
The virtual instructor gives the student a chance to recalculate when the answer is wrong and actual feedback to guide the student to the correct answer. The instructor goes over the problem with the student which takes a huge amount of work off of my plate. That’s a real dream for me, homeschool math on autopilot!
Homeschool Math Support
Teaching Textbooks offers multiple support options by having tutoring available over the phone, an online e-book for students who need a more in-depth look at the lesson, and a student and parent portal to keep up with all of the automated grades. The e-book and the grade reports can be printed out to streamline bookkeeping. This is the easiest at-home math curriculum I have seen. It definitely saves a lot of frustration for the student and the parent in comparison to how homeschool math usually looks for us.
Stickers, Sounds, and Wallpaper for Math!
The big finale is the student dashboard is fully customizable with the student having control of their wallpaper, sounds within the lessons, interactive stickers, and animated characters. This is the best way to make math more interesting and more engaging than ever. It’s no secret that math can be boring and lack the elements necessary to keep the attention of the pupil. Teaching Textbooks has taken an artful approach and incorporated design elements that make homeschool math lessons lively and attractive. Most of all it allows the student to be almost completely self-reliant and that is meaningful to me with so many different grade levels in the house. Teaching Textbooks is the perfect solution to at-home math issues!
