Our Escape From Winter at Kalahari Resorts + Round Rock, Texas I Hill Country Homestead

We happened upon Kalahari Resorts in Round Rock, Texas when the weather was especially bad outside in Texas. Our Lone Star State was facing below-freezing temperatures and ice on the roads as we rolled into the grand entrance at Kalahari. We escaped our frozen homestead at 32 degrees exactly and the temperature continued to drop as we passed through Boerne then Austin and we were lucky enough to make it to Round Rock before the snowmageddon froze the streets and banned us from any hopes of Texas travel. Once we checked into our accommodations, our warmest winter clothes were quickly shed for swimsuits and we skipped through the hotel lobby to the entrance of the massive indoor water park where it is always 85 degrees!
