Our kitchen is in its final phase of renovation and the installation of our National Gypsum Purple XP drywall is finished. The whole process has been quite lovely. I could have meal planned better. I knew I would have limited use of my kitchen as contractors worked to upgrade my walls, but we live, and we learn. Aside from eating out more that I would like to admit, the entire process has been inspiring and exciting. Each time I walk through my kitchen, I am in awe at the newness of the walls and the blank slate waiting to be decorated. I am also delighted knowing that from now on, my kitchen walls are waterproof and mold-proof for all of their days.
The quality of PURPLE high-performance drywall has been the reason my patience has remained steady with this entire renovation process. Working with National Gypsum has been an absolute dream, and I love knowing that once the wall coverings go up, my walls have ultimate protection with Purple XP, and so does my family. We loved the purple color of the drywall once it was installed. We even joked about going with purple wall treatments we liked it so much, and It’s our town's football colors! We will be whitewashing all the walls with various applications, including modern wallpaper and 3D tiling, but having purple walls for a while has been a lot of fun!
Our family is always evolving into a more minimal lifestyle as we continue to eliminate excess from our lives and home while also continually giving to others in the process. Striving to live a more minimal lifestyle does not mean we skimp on quality. Purple XP is NOT normal drywall. Moisture and mildew protection is essential to me, especially living on a farm. I can rest assured that the drywall installed in my home is helping to keep our family safe by working against hidden pathogens that can potentially pollute the air that the kids, Brady and I breathe on an everyday basis.
