Beer, Bugs and Blues With Willie's Grill and IceHouse I Hill Country Homestead Texas

Willie’s Grill and Ice House has been a family tradition ever since we migrated to the Texas Hill Country from Dallas over five year’s ago. The family and I were thrilled to discover Willie’s annual live music event, Beer, Bugs and, Blues featuring daily fresh deliveries of live Louisiana crawfish in celebration of Mardi Gras and Fat Tuesday.
Willie’s is The Crawfish Capital of Texas, receiving live crawfish daily from Louisiana. They serve large and extra-large hand selected crawfish and you can customize your crawfish boil with fresh corn & potatoes, mushrooms & onions, and sausage or load it up with The Works for only $5. Willie’s offers the To Geaux crawfish boil in a reusable thermal-insulated bag if you need to take it to go. In addition to crawfish, they also are selling a number of Cajun Classics for a limited time – Boudin Balls, Shrimp or Crawfish Etouffee, Boiled Shrimp, and Shrimp & Sausage Gumbo.
Ordering is made easy at the front counter, soda fountain style. The crawfish were ordered and once seated, they arrived at the table almost instantly in an upside down bucket hot and ready. A table just next to the live music tent was the perfect distance to enjoy the band, the balloon artist and all the festive activity from all ends of the restaurant. The servers were visibly thrilled to be there, decked out in beads, beaming smiles and balloon art hats. Face painting and dancing are among the favorites for the children. Although, the sand box and balloon art are tons of fun also. This is the perfect place for the adults to relax and have fun while the kid’s enjoy the numerous entertainment options focused on just them. There really is something for everyone.
