A Blast at Lego Land San Antonio!
As we approach the entrance to Lego Land, it's a skip and a stride for my guests and me because walking calmly isn't an option. Large mural walls of Lego Movie scenes forewarn of the joy ahead. Your crew will buzz with excitement when you approach the gates because a wonderland of creation is waiting inside. I believe the children can sense that!
Located inside the River Center Mall on the bottom floor, Lego Land San Antonio is positioned in a storefront flagship just adjacent to its sister thrill, Sea Life San Antonio, an underwater and underground adventure into microbiology.
Plan to Stay the Day
There are many major entertainment draws to Lego Land. You will be pulled in many different directions upon entering because there is so much to do. Plan to spend an ample amount of time here. Centers for individual Lego creation are widespread of course! There are also regularly scheduled master building classes that walk the child through age-appropriate pre-fab lego creations that they leave in the classroom. These regular and daily classes include video monitor displays of the instructor's hands at work, giving step-by-step commentary. This was my personal favorite as a homeschool mom!
Family Friendly Fun
There are plenty of educational experiences on this campus! It also boasts several larger-than-life arcade-style rides that engage the student or child with motor skills, whether it's shooting, pedaling, or engaging in virtual reality. The campus is well-staffed and hosts a safe environment to let the kids spread out to different activities while still being able to keep an eye on them. They even have comfy and spacious seating for parents and a coffee shop on the same floor as the kids' fun! I sipped an Americano and checked emails while the kids went wild in the staffed playscape!
Lego Land San Antonio boasts classes for education, coffee shops, playscapes, and amusement rides so the kids can play all day. When you are looking to kick back and relax be sure to catch at least two different 4D movies in the Lego Land interactive movie theatre. A fully immersive experience in the theatre includes a life-size screen, rumble sensations, wind, and even s spritz of water from the scene!
